Rework Technician Needed for Supercar Manufacturer in Surrey – Contract (5x vacancies available)
Are you a looking to work with one of the world’s leading supercar manufacturers? I’m looking for 5 Rework Technicians on a contract basis to work on site in Surrey at a historic British brand name.
You would lead by example and build upon the brand’s team based working approach. You will embed a no faults forward approach and have a keen eye for detail. Perfection is all that matters and that’s what you will be there to achieve.
This is a contract position with an expected duration of 4-5 months. There is the possibility of this being extended for the right person. This is an on-site role based in Woking, Surrey on a shift pattern, Monday-Friday. The shifts are 05:30 – 13:45 & 15:00 – 23:15.
Pay rate is fixed, and is:
PAYE: £15.35 Early shift & £17.44 Late shift
Umbrella: £20.24 Early shift & £22.99 Late shift
You must have full right to work in the UK, unfortunately sponsorship is not on offer for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly, installation, and adjustment of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques.
- Conduct rework tasks such as panel and component replacements to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of vehicles.
- Execute repairs and replacements of defective components with precision and efficiency, minimizing vehicle downtime and maximizing customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to provide feedback on product improvements and contribute to the continuous enhancement of the brand.
- Operate on production processes with a high degree of accuracy.
- Operate specialist testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, new technologies, and emerging trends in automotive engineering through ongoing training and professional development activities.
- Documentation and Reporting – maintain accurate records of production activities, including completed tasks, quality inspections, and any issues encountered, to facilitate traceability and process improvement.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive engineering or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI accreditation) are desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience as an automotive technician, preferably within a high-performance or luxury automotive environment.
- Strong technical proficiency in automotive mechanics, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive assembly techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
