Account Manager

We are looking for an Account Manager to work within the sales team – explore sales opportunities in different sectors outside of automotive that fit within the capabilities of the Group and to manage and grow key accounts. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills and ability to showcase offerings in a compelling way. Required to give presentations and attend networking events and trade shows, must be a person who is personable and professional.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • To work with in the current, sales team, look to grow the existing client base and if possible bring in new sales opportunities not necessarily in the automotive environment that fit with in the capabilities of the Group.
  • Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories.
  • Possess in depth knowledge, prepare concise and accurate reports, proposals and other required documentation for sales presentations.
  • Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process.
  • Coordinate with other sales representatives to ensure that quotes are being met and company standards are being upheld.
  • Develop skills and abilities with a goal of being a self-sufficient business owner, Enquiry handling, proposal quotation, project management and full customer lifecycle management.
  • Maintain cost management inline with project delivery, ensuring that add / deletes, PCRs and deviations are recorded and agreed with customers & internal stakeholders in a timely fashion.
  • Responsible for effective communication between internal and external stakeholders.
  • When required visit customer operations, outsource suppliers and other company locations (UK & Potentially International).
  • Generate timing plans that service both internal & external customers.
  • Document customer meetings and engagements to maintain customer satisfaction and project integrity.
  • Capture appropriate information to conduct constructive post project & gateway “Lessons to be Learned” meetings.
  • Develop skills and abilities with a goal of being a self-sufficient business owner, Enquiry handling, proposal quotation, project management and full customer lifecycle management.

Technical/IT and Education Requirements

  • Microsoft products word / Excel
  • Three or more years of sales experience within a similar industry
  • Knowledge of Access Accounting desirable.

  • Product Knowledge and Industry Experience.
  • Proficiency with sales management software and CRM.
  • Ability to negotiate win-win agreements.
  • Strong ability to manage the Cost, Quality and Timing of the project.

  • Proven success rate at levels above quota desirable.
