If so, this is an exciting opportunity to join a leading engineering company on a late shift, offering a competitive hourly rate plus a shift allowance (time and a third).

The Role

As a CNC Milling 4-Axis Setter/Operator, you will play a vital role in machining high-precision components to exacting standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting and operating 4-axis CNC milling machines to produce precision-engineered parts
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure accurate machining
  • Modifying and editing CNC programs to compensate for materials, tooling, and machine conditions
  • Conducting in-process inspections to maintain strict quality standards
  • Hand-finishing components (de-burring) and ensuring final quality control checks are completed
  • Performing basic machine maintenance, including cleaning, oiling, and coolant checks
  • Logging work, completing route cards, and submitting parts for inspection
  • Working as part of a team to meet production schedules and deadlines
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a skilled CNC professional who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a late-shift environment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least three years’ experience in a CNC milling setter/operator role
  • Experience working with 4-axis CNC machining in a precision engineering environment
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and programming adjustments
  • The ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical drawings and instructions
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring work meets the highest quality standards
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and precision
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with PC fluency for logging work
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a late-shift setting
