The opportunity
You will be part of cutting-edge design team, delivering not only concept ideation but also assisting with the delivery of production vehicles. You will be able to inspire, encourage and innovate to continue the evolution of our design philosophy, helping to set out own design and brand direction.
Whilst your main purpose will be to focus on the recently launched brand, which is a pure electric SUV range, there will also be opportunities to work alongside our multi-talented team overseas, supporting design across the whole platform.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for new CMF design stories and concepts based on trend forecasting, market research, social trends etc. and will be confident to challenge the status quo.
Working collaboratively with the wider design teams, you will be responsible for elevating the CMF Design function and for maintaining the consistent high quality design deliverables.
Able to verbalise your designs, you will be responsible for generating 2D and 3D proposals for review, reconceiving your ideas, based on feedback.
With strong communication skills, you will be able to establish supplier networks and manage relationships for the CMF function internally, within both our existing and potential supply chains.
Being able to research products and materials with relevant technology, longevity, and the right aesthetic, you will have an understanding of the consumer and help to create an experience for the end user.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Educated to degree standard or equivalent, you will have proven CMF experience gained within an automotive OEM.
You will be a highly motivated individual who is able to collaborate effectively, communicating your ideas with ease. You will have exceptional visualisation skills and will demonstrate creative proficiency to a variety of stakeholders.
Some understating of production and engineering processes, and how they influence design and fabrication, would be advantageous as well as an understanding of supplier relationships and working with overseas teams.
