Their future plans are to continue their expansion by expanding their teams in their mission to bring some of the most iconic classic cars into the modern age, with fully electrical battery powertrain and driveline systems; built to original specification of original manufacturer.
Our focus is on delivering the very best car that we can to our clients and a huge amount of time and attention is being given to mechanical restoration, paint and trim. Under the skin the cars must be perfect too and this requires all new wiring looms and modern electrical and electronic systems all of which need to be integrated seamlessly and invisibly into the car to create something that is both beautiful and a reliable joy to live with in the long term.
We have a full-time vacancy for an engineer to join our growing team, working mostly on the 12-volt systems on the vehicles.
·The key area of responsibility will be the 12 volt wiring loom and all the electrical systems that are connected by it, including the dashboard instruments, switch gear, interior lighting, exterior lighting, sensors, radiator fan, water circulation pumps, 12v battery, fuse boxes, in-car entertainment systems, etc.
·Additionally, this role will be responsible for the HVAC heating, ventilation and cooling systems which are powered by the high voltage system on the car, but controlled by the 12v system.
·Our cars feature a high voltage battery electric drive train, but experience with these HV systems is not necessary for this role.
·Our cars also feature a supervisory chassis control unit and whilst the wiring to and from the control unit will be the responsibility of the person in this role, the software and functionality of the control unit is the responsibility of another member of our team.
·For the 12v wiring loom the design has been done using the services of a sub-contractor and with this appointment we are looking to bring this important function in-house for the long term.
