Purchasing Assistant Bognor Regis // Automotive/Defence // Temporary

The Purchasing Assistant provides support to the materials and production team, processing orders, investigating queries and chasing through items to support the smooth running of the production facility.

 

The Purchasing Assistant will ensure that the impact of processing orders does not affect the daily operational running of the business.

 

 

Specific Responsibilities

 

  • General support to the materials team.
  • Create purchase orders as requested to support the production team.
  • Convert requisitions into orders as requested.
  • Process orders for contractors and facilities.
  • Monitor and ensure that all PICRs (Non-conformances) are being progressed and closed out.
  • Ensure that orders placed are receipted and available for invoice in the system.
  • Run reports as requested from the management team.
  • Expediting and order book management where applicable.

 

Key Relationships

 

    • JAL Operations Management.
    • Operations – Outsourcing, Materials, Stores, Production.
  • Suppliers and outsource partners.

 

Experience/Knowledge

Essential

·         Low level purchasing experience.

·         Able to manage administration using a company MRP system.

·         Able to manage demanding external and internal stakeholders.

·         MS office suite skills.

·         Data Analysis.


Desirable

·         SAP and MRP experience.
