Real Estate Manager


Position Description:

  • Asset management and protection of international portfolio, including building and maintaining relationships at a senior level with all local stakeholders where the company has a presence
  • Provision of expert professional services such as valuations, site selection, site relocation, negotiation of acquisitions, disposals and leases, advice on leases, lease restructuring and renewal, rent reviews, property management, repairs and dilapidations/reinstatement liabilities, planning, property taxes, advice on alternative forms of ownership and real estate financing and appropriate due diligence
  • Responsible for a portfolio of international property assets, each with varying and unique legal requirements.
  • Managing all legal obligations in respect of the portfolio and representing the company in highly complex and specialised transactions and negotiations
  • Building and maintaining awareness of activity close to all locations so as to maintain market intelligence to feed into strategy and tactical real estate moves
  • Championing research into property intelligence and processes to maximise opportunities for the efficient use of property assets within the company portfolio

Skills Required:

  • Property Management and contact negotiations. Acquisitions and disposals of assets and companies relating to real estate interests Lease renegotiations and re-gears Portfolio and asset strategy development Managing site due diligence, site master planning, zoning/planning issues and development contracts
  • Dealing with external suppliers, bankers, legal and professional advisors. Best practice in real estate transactions and portfolio management. Property market practice and legislation across global jurisdictions. Financial appraisals and valuation methods. Comparative lease analysis and financial modelling of property transactions
  • Business approval and evaluation processes. Accounting practices. Lease administration, including records administration, lease and service charge audits and management of landlord and tenant relationships


Degree Required:

  • Degree qualified - Economics (Hons), Master of Business Administration Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) qualified


Experience Required:

  • An assured and confident manager and communicator
  • High level of business and financial acumen
  • Strong customer service ethic and strong team player
  • High degree of personal drive and self-motivation
  • Ability to quickly build effective working relationships at working, senior and board levels
  • Excellent influencing and persuading skills
  • High degree of presentation skills with enthusiasm and conviction when communicating


  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines


Key Responsibilites:

  • Providing advice to the business on real estate related matters at a senior level
  • Providing advice on complex transactions, devising solutions and ensuring legal documentation reflects commercial agreements
  • Portfolio management to ensure alignment of property and business strategy to meet the needs of the business
  • Working with key government officials and stakeholders across global jurisdictions on approval, development and implementation of property projects
  • Management of complex set of stakeholders, with sometimes conflicting priorities
  • Appointing, leading and directing local outside legal counsel and local real estate advisors as required
  • Development of Capex and Opex budgets working with local stakeholders and central Finance functions
  • Influencing the Company’s activities without possessing direct authority/ownership of resources. Leading beyond authority, interfacing with senior internal and external management, including at Board level, supporting and working alongside the Head of International Real Estate and the Director, Property
