International Women’s Day allows us to celebrate the remarkable achievements of women in all sectors. At Envisage Recruitment we shine a light on women in the manufacturing and engineering sector, and show how we can create inclusive workforces.

It is important to acknowledge that despite the progress made in recent years, the manufacturing and engineering industries still face gender disparities and women are underrepresented, especially in technical roles and leadership positions. To overcome this, first it is important to challenge stereotypes and misconceptions to attract female talent. Second, providing skill development and training opportunities will not only enhance female career progression, but also support your company by bridging the skills gap and demonstrating values of inclusivity.

However, despite the obstacles, it is important to highlight and celebrate the achievements and successes of women and their contributions, from our female colleagues at Envisage Recruitment to historical pioneers.

Bertha Benz demonstrated the capabilities of the Benz Patent-Motorwagen by driving over 60 miles paving the way for modern automotive manufacturing and Isabelle Kocher led the transition towards more sustainable practices and solutions. Highlighting and celebrating their accomplishments not only promotes gender diversity but can also help to inspire the future generations of females wanting to work within industry.

This International Women’s Day, join us as we celebrate diversity, empowerment, and positive changes, making way for the future where all voices are heard and valued. We are committed to ensuring every candidate has an equal opportunity, while also finding you the best talent our industries have to offer.
