We’re looking for a passionate Head of Sales UK – Engineering to help expand our footprint and drive growth in the automotive industry and beyond. Your Role

As a key part of the Engineering focused division of the business you will be responsible for all elements associated with the delivery of sales targets within the department.

Sales Development

  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new business across all sectors but with a significant bias towards automotive.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of leads using various outreach strategies, including cold calls, emails, and industry networking.
  • Work with clients through the entire sales process, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services, particularly in engineering and product development.
  • Ensure any offering are risk managed and commercially aligned to the business operation model and targets.
  • Work closely with colleagues and broader business teams to collate offerings aligned with the client’s requirements.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop relevant literature and communications relevant to the sales activities.

Client Relationship Management

  • Foster lasting relationships with new and existing clients, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
  • Collaborate with internal recruitment and engineering teams to deliver customized solutions that meet client needs.
  • Maintain high client satisfaction and promote repeat business.

Market Insights and Strategy

  • Conduct industry research to understand trends, client needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Use CRM tools to manage sales activities, keep accurate records, and strategize effectively.
  • Provide valuable feedback to refine and enhance our service offerings.

Performance and Analytics

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets consistently.
  • Prepare reports and forecasts to inform management of progress and strategies.
  • Analyze performance metrics to improve conversion rates and client retention.

Who You Are

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.
  • A proven track record of 5+ years in sales, business development, or a related field.
  • Experience in the automotive or engineering sectors, or a background in staffing/recruitment sales, is highly advantageous.

Skills

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build and nurture professional relationships.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and relevant software tools.
  • A problem-solver with a consultative sales style.
  • Commercial mindset.

Location

  • The role is based in Coventry, with flexibility needed to travel nationally and internationally.
