This urgent requirement for a Manufacturing Engineer offers an exciting opportunity for someone to join an expanding automotive business in their truly niche area.
The successful candidate must have a demonstrated background in the following:
(5-10 years rel. experience, Automotive emphasis)
• Providing guidance to the design team on manufacturing detail to make the parts easier and cheaper to make and to improve product quality
• Development of production routings for components and assemblies including internal operations, external operations and sub-assembly operations
• Development of work holding jigs and fixtures to speed up the production process for the cars
• Developing processes and procedures for re-manufacturing components that are removed from cars and fully renovated before being refitted - in order to be sure that they have all been done to a consistent high standard
• Working with external suppliers where necessary to help improve quality and reduce cost
